The biggest differences are in the texture of the wax and the method of application. The warm wax must be liquid if you want to get thin layers. You must use a strip to do the hair removal. Unlike warm wax, hot wax should have a more or less plastic texture when heated. The hot wax must be applied with a wooden spatula and not with a stainless steel one, since metal is a conductor. You can also use your fingers for wax application and removal. You must wear gloves or fingertips. If you are not working with your fingers, you should hem the base of the tape so that you have a good grip for removal.
