5 ways to use Oh Blush Sparkle Powders
We present 5 ways to use Oh Blush Sparkle powders in a short video: Resin dipping, gel dipping, chrome effect, chameleon effect, and sugar effect.
Powder resin application by dipping
- Directly on the prepared natural nail or directly on the prosthesis
- Apply resin to the nail.
- Sprinkle Oh Blush powder.
- Repeat steps 2 and 3.
- Apply another coat of resin.
- Apply a coat of clear powder (so you don't have to file the glitter).
- Apply another coat of resin.
- Create your stress point with clear powder.
- A coat of resin.
- Cure with spray hardener.
- File and finish.
Application with gel and dipping powder
Since gel is hypoallergenic, it can be very interesting to use if you are allergic to resin or catalyst.
- Directly on the prepared natural nail or directly on the prosthesis
- Apply a thin layer of Oh Blush dipping gel to the nail.
- Sprinkle Oh Blush powder.
- Apply a good drop of gel and tap it so as not to move the powder. Remember to wipe your brush.
- Put the nail under the lamp for 1 minute.
- Repeat the gel and powder steps as many times as necessary.
- Seal with a coat of clear powder (so you don't have to file the glitter).
- Apply another coat of gel.
- Create your stress point with clear powder.
- A coat of gel.
- Put the nail under the lamp for 1 minute.
- Wipe with a cotton pad soaked in 99.9% alcohol or Ongles d'Or perfect cleaner.
- File and finish.
The Chrome Effect
- The chrome effect looks best on a nail done in black.
- Apply a layer of Fini-Plus or Oh Blush Gel finish to the nail.
- Half cure, i.e., 15 seconds with an 18-watt LED or about 1 minute with a 36W UV lamp.
- Sprinkle Oh Blush powder.
- Remove excess with a dusting brush, this is enough to create your chrome effect.
- Seal with a coat of Fini Plus and cure for the regular time.
- You can then, if you are working with resin and powder, apply your UV resin without filing the Fini-Plus. However, do not apply your UV resin directly to the Sparkle powder as this will make it grainy.
The Chameleon Effect
- The chameleon effect looks best on a nail done in black.
- Apply a layer of Fini-Plus to the nail.
- Half cure, i.e., 15 seconds with an 18-watt LED or about 1 minute with a 36W UV lamp.
- Sprinkle Oh Blush powder.
- Vigorously rub with a dusting brush or a manicure brush to create your chameleon effect. You can also apply your powder by tapping it with your finger.
- Seal with a coat of Fini Plus and cure for the regular time.
- You can then, if you are working with resin and powder, apply your UV resin without filing the Fini-Plus.
The Sugar Effect
- The sugar effect looks best on a nail done in black.
- Apply a layer of Fini-Plus to the nail.
- Cure completely, i.e., 30 seconds with an 18-watt LED or 2 minutes with a 36W UV lamp.
- You're done.
The sugar effect holds a little less well with resin and powder because you cannot seal it with UV resin as it needs to remain grainy. We advise you to do a dip first, then the sugar effect. That way, if your sugar effect comes off, your nail will still look good.
With gel, using Oh Blush dipping gel, the sugar effect holds very well.
