Extend the life of your resins with these surefire tips!

Resin is a fantastic product, but to get the most out of it, it's essential to store it properly.

Tips for preserving your resin in optimal conditions

Resin is sensitive to light and contaminants. To properly preserve your resins, here are some tips:

  • Wipe the brush hairs on a clean lint-free cloth. Avoid using paper towels, which can leave residue on your brush.
  • Do not catalyze near your brush or lint-free cloth.
  • UV resin dislikes sunlight, temperature variations, condensation, heat, and humidity. This is even more true in summer, with heatwaves and humidity.
  • Store the resin in the refrigerator if you won't be using it for some time, and take it out about 30 minutes before use so it can reach room temperature.
  • Your refrigerator should be at a maximum temperature of 34 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Direct sunlight and even artificial light can alter the resin.
  • Keep it in a dark, dry place or in an opaque container to prevent degradation.
  • After each use, clean the neck of the bottle with a pad soaked in Dilue-Tout and apply a little cuticle oil.
  • Make sure resin containers are tightly closed after each use to prevent air from entering.

Resin shelf life:

  • UV resin has an average shelf life of 3 months.
  • Other resins can be stored for 6 months to 1 year if properly stored.
