Here are the step-by-step instructions for proper nail preparation:

  • Wash your hands
  • Examine hands to check for nail imperfections or potential diseases to treat.
  • Push back cuticles
  • File nails with a 240/240 grit file.
  • Buff the top of the nail with the yellow block. Optionally with the white block, but be careful not to over-buff, so as not to weaken the nail.
  • Clean with the brush, from the cuticles outwards to prevent dust from getting under the skin, which could cause infections.
  • Apply about 2 coats of pH control. The nail should become a little whiter.
  • And there you have it! Your nails are ready for a resin or UV gel application.
