All you need to know about our pellet resins
We present everything you need to know about ball resins from Ongles D'Or. As a slow-drying resin, ball resin allows you to work at your own pace on gradients, inlays, and other decorations.
This ball resin will find a special place in your kit!
3 viscosities: medium, liquid, ultra-liquid
The medium is used as a base coat as it absorbs the first layer of powder well, then the clear (liquid) or ultra-liquid will be perfect for creating your gradient effects. Keep in mind, however, that it is not mandatory to use them together; you can use each one separately, according to your preferences.
How to apply ball resin?
To create a gradient, here we used dipping powder Green Serenity and Icicle from the Oh Blush brand.
- Start by applying the medium ball resin to the nail, then sprinkle (or dip, your choice!) our first color on about half of the nail, more or less, according to your preferences. You will then use the clear resin to dilute the powder. Repeat this process a second time.
- During the second dipping, apply the resin over the entire nail to apply the second color of your gradient. When applying your second color, overlap the first to facilitate the gradient effect.
- The beauty of this resin is obviously the ability to create a "ball" with the powder without it setting, allowing for intricate decoration work. This is how we will achieve a well-executed gradient effect here.
- When you are satisfied with the effect, add clear powder and dilute it with the liquid ball resin to seal your design.
- You will complete this application with the hardener, and it is very important to note that since we are working with slow-drying resins, it will take longer than usual to cure, even with an ultra-fast hardener. Therefore, consider this during application to advise your client to be careful and not to file immediately.
