Resin manicure

Extend the life of your resins with these tips! 💅

Resin is a fantastic product, but to get the most out of it, it is essential to store it properly. Proper conservation of the resin helps maintain its quality and durability, thus guaranteeing impeccable results with each use.

Here are some tips to preserve your resin in optimal conditions 🌟:

  1. Wipe after each coat🖌️ To avoid contaminating your resins, it is very important to wipe the brush on a clean bib after each contact with powder or activator. Avoid using paper towels which could leave residue on your brush.
  2. Do not spray activator near your brush or bib ❌ This is the most common mistake that can lead to unwanted hardening and damage to your equipment.
  3. Temperature-controlled storage🌡️ Store the resin in the refrigerator if you’re not using it for a while and take it out about 30 minutes before using it so that it is at room temperature. Likewise, if it’s hot, we advise you to wait about 30 minutes for it to reach room temperature before putting it in the refrigerator to avoid too big a temperature shock.

  4. Avoid exposure to light 🌞💡 Direct sunlight and even artificial light can damage the resin. Store it in a dark place or in an opaque container to avoid damage.

  5. Close tightly 🛑 Make sure resin containers are tightly closed after each use to prevent air entry. Air can harden the resin or cause it to thicken prematurely.

  6. Use quality containers 🏺 Store the resin in appropriate containers that do not react with the product. The original containers are generally the best.

  7. Clean the edges of containers 🧼 To get rid of stuck caps, after each use, clean the edge using a wipe soaked in glue remover and apply a little cuticle oil.

By following these tips, you can extend the life of your resin and maintain its optimal quality for future applications. 🌟

Some important reminders

  • Lifespan: UV resin has an average lifespan of 3 months. Other resins can be kept for between 6 months and 1 year if stored properly.
  • Refrigerator temperature: Your refrigerator should be at a maximum temperature of 34 degrees Fahrenheit. Higher temperature may thicken the resin.

To prevent contamination of your resin, consider equipping yourself with these products:

In summer, with heat waves and high humidity, it is even more crucial to follow these precautions to preserve the quality of your resin. 🌡️❄️

Keep these tips in mind and your resin will remain in perfect condition, ready to enhance your clients’ nails with shine and perfection! 💅🌟
