Everyone and their mother has heard of Shellac, but what is it exactly?
A Super Resistant UV Polish
Shellac is a unique UV polish that has a special technology giving it the perfect gel look when cured. This technology will give your manicure the long wear og UV gel with the ease of application of a regular polish. When used correctly, Shellac will last 14 days on your nails without chipping. When you want to remove it, just soak it in aceton and it will come off in a few minutes, no filing needed. It is lighter on the nails than a regular gel but still has the shiny look we all love!
Application is really simple: a base coat, two layers of color and a top coat. Shellac has to be cured under a UV lamp. Curing time depends on you lamp, but usually it is 2 minutes for each layer with a 36w lamp.
Shellac polishes are hypoallergenic and do not contain Formaldehyde, Toluene or DBP (Dibutyl Phthalate).

The Shellac line contains more than a 100 colors and the line continue to grow each year with at least 4 new collections, one each season. With such a big variety, you are guaranteed to find a color you like. You can find the same colors in the Vinylux product, which is a regular polish.
Where to Find Shellac ?
Shellac is usually a product reserved for professionnal nail technicians so it is not easy to find. Shellac is sold in a few professional shops and also online. CND only sells through authorized retailers.
