How to properly store your resins
Resin is a product that is sensitive to light and contaminants. To preserve the quality of your resins, here are some essential tips:
- UV resin hates sunlight, temperature variations, condensation, heat, and humidity. This is especially true during summer heatwaves and high humidity.
- Wipe the brush bristles on a clean nail bib after each contact with powder or hardener to avoid contaminating your resin. Avoid using paper towels, as they may leave fibers on your brush.
- Do not cure near your brush or bib. This is the most common mistake and can lead to unwanted hardening and damage to your tools.
- Store the resin in the refrigerator and take it out about 30 minutes before use so it reaches room temperature. Your fridge should not exceed 34 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Direct sunlight and even artificial light can affect the resin.
- Keep it in a dark, dry place or in an opaque container to avoid degradation.
- Always make sure resin containers are tightly closed after each use to prevent air from getting in. Air can cause the resin to harden or thicken prematurely.
- To avoid stuck caps, clean the neck of the bottle with a pad soaked in Dilue-Tout after each use, and apply a little cuticle oil.
Important Reminder
- UV resin has an average shelf life of 2 to 3 months. Other resins can last between 6 months to 1 year if properly stored.
- All resins are thoroughly inspected before shipping to ensure quality. No exchange or refund is possible for this product.
